Courtney earned her undergraduate nursing degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado in 2006. Her first job as a nurse was in a busy, urban public health clinic as a Sexual Health RN. She has been passionate about women's and sexual/reproductive health ever since she learned about sexual health nursing . In 2011, she graduated with her MS in nursing (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner) from the University of Colorado and was honored with the "Student Leadership Award" and "Outstanding Pass Award" for her thesis on Postpartum Psychosis. She was also inducted into The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In 2011, Courtney launched her career as an NP at one of the nation's most highly ranked and most prestigious Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Courtney has over 10 years of experience in the following sexual and gynecologic subspecialties: complex contraceptive care, vulvar dermatology, diagnosis and management of genital tract abnormalities, pre-cancers, and cancers, management and care of sexual assault survivors, hormone replacement therapy, pelvic pain, STDs, chronic vaginitis, in-office gynecologic procedures, men's sexual medicine, and lifestyle counseling.
NP Blasi is also an ASCCP Certified Colposcopist and re-launched the Advanced Practice Provider Colposcopy Clinic for Mayo Clinic's Division of Gynecology in Rochester, MN in 2013. In 2017, she developed a colposcopy clinic and program for uninsured women in Durango, CO through San Juan Basic Public Health. NP Blasi is also a Certified Yoga Teacher and completed Yoga Durango's 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2017. Courtney has also taken additional coursework in integrative medicine through the University of Minnesota including Functional Nutrition and Essential Oils as Medicine.
